The weekly check in for dogs and cats

Is your fur baby their usual self?

Thirty seconds a week teaches Tailwise what normal looks like for your pet. So when weight drifts or appetite dips, you notice early, not in the car on the way to the emergency vet.

The scary changes are the slow ones. A few grams here, a skipped breakfast there.

When you see your pet every day, gradual changes are almost impossible to spot. Most apps just store vaccination dates. Tailwise keeps a quiet weekly record of what's normal for your pet, and tells you in plain words when something starts to drift.

How it works

Three check ins to learn normal. Every week after to keep watch.

1

Check in once a week

Eating, drinking, energy, poo, pee, coat and getting around. Quick taps compared with usual, or one tap for "all usual this week".

Tailwise learns normal

After three check ins you get a baseline for your pet. Weigh them at the pet store when you can and Tailwise dates it for you.

Spot changes early

When something drifts, Tailwise says so in plain words, and flags anything that needs a call to your vet straight away.

Calm at the vet · Pro

When you're worried, it's hard to explain what's going on.

Answer a few simple questions, the same ones a vet nurse would ask. Tailwise adds what it already knows from your pet's diary and turns it into one clear summary you can send ahead or show at the counter.

  • Tells you whether to call now, book in today, or keep watching
  • Weight history, recent check ins and treatments included
  • Never a diagnosis. Your vet does that part.

Any vet. Any brand. Always yours.

Your pet's records belong to you, not an app.

We built Tailwise around the things pet owners hate most about other apps: losing records, paying to see their own history, and apps that only work if your clinic signs up.

Download everything

Every check in, weight, treatment and note as a CSV, any time, on every plan. Open it in Excel or take it elsewhere.

Works with any vet

No clinic sign up needed. Change vets, move cities, see a locum. Your history comes with you.

No brand pushing

Tailwise doesn't sell food, insurance or treatments. It's just your pet's story, in your hands.

Never held hostage

Stop paying and everything you've saved stays viewable and exportable. Always.

Questions
Does Tailwise diagnose my pet?

No. Tailwise helps you notice changes and explain them clearly. Only a vet who examines your pet can tell you what's wrong.

Do I need a smart collar?

No gadgets needed. Tailwise runs on what you see each week, which is what your vet asks about anyway.

Does it work with my vet clinic?

Yes, any clinic. Nothing needs to be set up on their side. You send or show them the summary.

Can I take my data with me?

Any time, on any plan. Download everything as a CSV and open it in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Is it just for dogs?

Dogs and cats, with questions tailored to each. Cats are brilliant at hiding when they're unwell, so a weekly record matters even more.

What do you do with my data?

Your pet's diary is private to your household. We use what you add, including your details and your pets' profiles and diaries, to understand our customers, improve Tailwise and develop better pet products. We never sell your data, never share it with third parties, and never show you ads.
